River Activities

Grab your picnic rug and a grassy spot on the riverside to experience the best that our beautiful Shoalhaven River has to offer. The weekend will be full of many fantastic displays on the river including wake boarding demonstrations, water stunts, vintage boat displays, navy and emergency service demos and much much more.

The 2017 Shoalhaven River Festival Main Stage will feature both amazing local & internationally recognised Australian Entertainment.

ArtZone 2017

ArtZone 2017 will be a creative hub with interactive sculpture, makers tents, street art, kids craft and lots of opportunities to met artists and get creative. There will be fun activities and art that is exciting to watch.

Flood Markers

Take part in our interactive sculpture project exploring the River in Flood with artists Randall Sinnamon, Gillian Rhys, Julie Cunningham and Warwick Keen

Fantastic River Creatures

Get creative with Kids with ARTitude and Shoalhaven Zoo. Meet some beautiful & scary river animals and do some exciting craft work. River Pirates and Mermaids Picnic

Art Bales

See Urban Art Australia make Art Bales bigger than ever with silo wrap bales transformed by street artists.

Boat Art

Have fun with painting a boat with Marilyn Beaven or go fishing for paper fish in the Flood Boat Pavilion.

Aboriginal Weaving

Try weaving using traditional techniques with Aboriginal weaver Uncle Steve Russell.

Makers Tents

Watch artists and craftspeople at work with demonstrations by Mad Cow Studio, Nowra Men’s Shed and others.

River Pirates & Mermaids Picnic

All pirates and mermaids are invited to the fantastic River Pirates and Mermaids Picnic at the ArtZone! There will be fun river craft, live entertainment by The Con Artists and free morning tea.

Sian Parmenter & Jaden Spence – Stella Studioz

Stella Studioz

Power FM & Climax Air Conditioning proudly present Sian Parmenter and Jaden Spence of Stella Studioz, performing on the main stage of the River Festival.

Stella Studioz is the only music studio of its kind in the Shoalhaven, and has been educating and inspiring many vocalists and performers for 8 years. Stella Studioz specialise in vocals and also have an elite team of musicians teaching Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano.

Sian Parmenter is one of the Girlz from a well known Duo ”The Stella Girlz” and is a proud owner of Stella Studioz. Jaden is a professional singer & songwriter and currently teaches guitar at Stella Studioz.


Boat Parade

The beautifully restored boats will make their way down the river in the Shoalhaven River Boat Parade.


Power FM Livewire winner – Chloe Dadd

Chloe Dadd

Chloe Dadd is a guitarist and singer/songwriter. She has grown up in the Milton/Ulladulla area and has been playing guitar since the age of 9.

Chloe writes and performs her own music and covers. She has been awarded with XFire Music’s Ernie Ball String Company endorsement in a music competition last year and recently won the Escape Artfest’s XFire Music Battle of the Bands – Solo Acoustic Division.

Chloe performs in the Milton, Ulladulla and surrounding areas. She has played at fundraising events such as Relay for Life and Nocturnal Surf Competition for Noah’s Shoalhaven, hosted by AKWA Surf.

She is currently completing year 11.
